About the work:

Cosmic Grid is part of Thomas Girbl’s Pyrographic Landscapes series, where fire, color, and symbolism merge into a powerful visual experience. The black and grey textures were burned directly into the canvas using fire — a technique that leaves behind raw, tactile traces of elemental transformation. In contrast, red and green layers were applied delicately with airbrush, evoking energetic fields or cryptic cosmic codes. Red circles, dots, and lines form a visual "grid" that hints at an invisible structure beneath the surface — a map of something greater, perhaps spiritual or universal. Cosmic Gridexplores the tension between destruction and creation, chaos and order. It invites the viewer to see not just a scorched surface, but a symbolic landscape between earth and cosmos — a moment frozen between the material and the metaphysical.
